The Kansas Health Consumer Coalition (KHCC) is a statewide coalition that advocates for affordable, accessible and quality health care in Kansas. KHCC develops its agenda through the insight of consumers, and uses this knowledge to educate the public, providing a mechanism for a coordinated response when needed. The coalition’s 2009 advocacy agenda includes:
♦ Improve accessibility and affordability of health insurance for small businesses by reducing barriers faced in providing coverage to employees; click here for more information
♦ Increase viable ways to reduce debt incurred due to health care costs and expenses by supporting the implementation of consumer-friendly initiatives that include health information and cost transparency; click here for more information
♦ Advance the improvement of Kansas health outcomes and generate new state revenues dedicated to health reform through initiatives that include increasing the tobacco products user fee; click here for more information
